Rin Black Ops by IamUman Rin Black Ops by IamUman
Rendered in Daz Studio and postworked in Photoshop.

I got inspired by [link] (love the light-dark contrast and the colours)

Now I'm having regrets not having used my Rin for the main character in my comic. Maybe I'll remake the pages were she is featuring (only 1 page actually)... But maybe she's looking too young... I'm still in doubt.

Credits:
- V4 by Daz.
- girl morphs and textures by me
- Clothes are a mix from different clothes packs: V4Ranger, Omega Hunter, Kazai. I changed all of the textures to make them fit together.
- City Ruins by Stonemason
- Mood Master 2 by Dreamlight

Face- and body-morphs, skin-textures, posing, lighting, rendering and postwork by me.

edit: fixed the armpits

Hi, I think you're doing really good already. It's hard to get views in the beginning (you should have more).

Did you already check out my tutorials:

Yes, you're right about the halo.
I don't know either how she gets into the top. I thought it had a zipper at the back, but it doesn't. Maybe I'll get lucky and she will show me how she gets out of that top sometime ;-)
Katana is untoughed.

Anime has a lot to answer for with incredibly accomplished young/looking characters :) You'll be in good company :P

The backlight halo glow spins me out a little. I think it's because it's so perfect around her, like it's there for her rather than she just so happens to be standing in front of it. Love the top, curious how she gets into it. I want one. And that utility belt. Did you end up putting more wer on the katana? Could just be the lighting but it still looks very new to me :)

You can open the textures in Photoshop and edit them, then afterwards, you can load them back onto the 3d-model.

ooh, sounds interesting. Do I have to save them as the same name that they were, or as a different one?

^^; sry if you do not have the time to explain this.

no problem. Best save a different name, otherwise you lose the original.
You can load it under the SURFACES tab (if you're using Daz Studio)

I use Daz Studio 3, so that would be where I work. ^^ now to just find the surfaces tab in order to work with the textures that I would want to use. :D

llama badge for you for helping me in being able to use different textures! :D:D:D

In Daz Studio:
- click: View - Tabs - Surfaces
- you will see all off the surfaces in your scene, grouped per object
- in the surface tab, click on the surface you want to edit
- click on the Advanced tab underneath
- Under Diffuse/color you wil see a color and the name of a surface, for example if you click on v4's head, you wil see: V4SmplTorsoM_BKN
- click this
- then click Browse
- this will open a Windows Explorer window with the contents of the directory with all off V4's textures
- you can rightclick any texture and choose Open with... Photoshop (or any graphic program.

After editing, you can best save the edited texture in the same directory with a different name.

Now back in Daz studio go back to the surface tab
- click on V4's head again
- click on V4SmplTorsoM_BKN
- click browse
- now choose the new texture

that's it.

O_O! o...mg.. thank you!!!!!!!!!! :icondragonglomp: :icondragonglomp: :icondragonglomp: thank you so very very much! :D:D:D

If there is any other great wisdom that I might be able to partake from you on textures of skin, clothes, or of morphing, I would love to learn. ^_^ Would you like some points for aiding me in such a way that it has changed the ability of how I will render things closer to my own style? :D

Thanks... and yes she does, but I think I'm still going to switch the character. Some accents in the story will be a bit different, but hey... I'll see where the story takes her...

I say do whatever makes you happiest about the artwork. The more you dig what you're doing, the more passion you put into it, and the better the end result. The main character in my story is a young girl with a destiny and I really like that idea. I'll be waiting to see where your story goes, my friend.
